The group meets at the main entrance where the Angell Field sign is located. If you’re having trouble locating the group, please call our host, Jonathan at (903) 263-1221

Jonathan Tijerina has had type 1 diabetes for 11 years. He has ran collegiate track and cross country at Baylor University and presently trains with the Strava Track Club as he attends medical school at Stanford University.

He will be leading a fun, informal running group for teens and young adults with T1D. We’ll meet up to discuss some good strategies for preparing for longer distance runs and maintaining a healthy blood sugar during those efforts, as well as practicing those strategies with a group run.

All levels of experience are welcome! Seasoned, novice, etc. You are even welcome to bring a friend.

Snacks and low supplies will be supplied. Please come in athletic clothing, and bring your meter/CGM.

Let’s get movin’!
