Adjusting to Raising a Child with a Chronic Illness

As wonderful as parenthood is, under the best of circumstances it can be challenging, stressful, and unpredictable. This is even more true for those whose children live with chronic, life-threatening conditions.

In this three-session workshop series we will focus on coping with the uncertainty of your child’s illness, coming to terms with the emotions parents have surrounding their child’s illness and how those emotions come to bare when parenting the child with the chronic illness.

We will  address issues such as effectively communicating with your spouse around treatment options, maintaining the couple relationship during stressful times; parenting your other children,  addressing their feelings, and maintaining a healthy family balance.

This event took place in January and February 2013.  Join our e-Newsletter List to hear about future workshops!
