About the Program
Join us for the 6th Annual Bay Area Diabetes Summit presented by Carb DM on Sunday, April 14 at Chabot Community College. The Summit is the largest type 1 diabetes educational event in the entire San Francisco Bay Area and is a unique collaboration between leading medical institutions and community organizations throughout the Bay. There’s something for everyone — whether you’re recently diagnosed or have been living with T1D for 30 years! With unique programming for patients, caregivers, and family members including a Spanish language track and breakouts designed for Asian-American families.
DYF will once again offer a kids day camp taking advantage of Chabot College’s great outdoor spaces and gym, so that children may also attend and be engaged in fun indoor & outdoor age-appropriate activities with volunteers familiar with managing T1D.
Registration Fees (includes breakfast, lunch & all program materials):
DYF’s Kids Camp: $25/child
- Register by March 1 for $35
- Register by April 1 for $40
- After April 1 the full fee is $50
Fun Fact: The Founding President of Chabot Community College, Reed L. Buffington, has a grandson with type 1 diabetes.
